And I´ll be alone.
Gone are the days when I was invited to a barbecue.
So I´ll thaw the mussels risotto and I´ll eat that.
Camila will come tomorrow to see me for a little while. But I´ll never be with her during holidays. It is the time of the year when she earns her money singing and playing. And now that she got the biggest prize in folk music in Chile she has been invited elsewhere. First she went to Belgium and then to Brazil.
I also used to go to Dixie´s, but Dixie is now like me: from doctor to doctor.
What do you do during your Independence Day? I only watch the parade on TV and just for a while.
See you.

@LindaOHio It seems that the men our age look for a young woman.

Mr too. I´m not interested in walking to watch a parade. TV is better.

I'm glad Camila will come see you. You can always hop on MyLot and virtually hang with people, otherwise. I'm sorry Independence Day isn't the same as it was, though.
In the U.S., we celebrate in July, but people don't really come over anymore. We just grill out for the household and relax.

I don´t do any special thing unless Dixie invites me for a family barbecue.

@LadyDuck The older I get, the less interested I am in holidays.

Belated Happy Independence Day.
I just eat, sleep, wake up to eat again and watch movies or kdramas.

I'm allergic to the smoke from all the fireworks on the 4th of July so we stay in the house with the A/C running full blast, hoping none of the smoke comes inside. (Years ago I breathed some of the smoke in and had to go to to the ER.... I'd rather not do that again.
You live too far away for me to go visit during your Independence Day.

I hope you enjoy your Independence Day even if you'll be alone, When our Independence Day comes in July I am usually alone also, I just treat it like any day and at night when I hear the fireworks I watch them from my window,
