Employees of the Strong Island Animal Rescue League which is located in Long Island New York answered an emergency call from a resident on Monday September 15 when a deer was trapped in a soccer net.
The employees of the rescue league were careful in working on freeing the trapped deer by using their equipment to cut the nets so that the deer could be released and run in the forest without being harmed.
Officials in Strong Island are telling residents to take down the soccer nets when they are being used to prevent animals from being trapped by the nets.

That is true since soccer nets are attracted to soccer nets.

One net down and one deer saved. Taking down the net could save it for sure in that area anyway.

Gee that deer would have not have gotten free unless the human had helped.

The deer was fortunate to be rescued from such a predicament, and after a game, they should certainly be taken down, as this type of happening is not good for all concerned.

I am in agreement with you that soccer nets should be taken down after all soccer games are over.
