Tomorrow is a PD day at work

The students are off but the staff has a professional development day. First of all I hate them. Secondly the Jewish New Year holiday starts tonight and goes for 2 days. Jewish staff are excused from work. Okay so if the training is soooooo important for all of us then why are they having it on a high holiday?
They finally sent out the agenda for tomorrow at almost the end of the day. The good news is that it is just from 8am to 2pm. Usually when we go in an hour late they make us stay until 3 which gets me salty. I am used to being back here each day at a certain time. I don't want to have to stay out later unless I choose to.
The bad news is that there really isn't anything on the agenda that looks particularly helpful or worthwhile. I hate when they waste my time. Just let me teach my students and get out a day earlier in June. And we have another PD tomorrow next week on Yom Kippur! I mean it is going to be easy to get the required 20 hours this year but ugh. 2 weeks in a row?

I mean yes, it is great to get a break from teaching, but yes, it does sound like it is going to be a waste of time for you.
I have a PH Day tomorrow.
That is a paid health day, I have to have a cystoscope done.
Not fun, super embarrassing but a necessary evil as I have had bladder cancer years ago.

Bet there’s ANOTHER one on October 7 (start of Sukkot).
Do Jewish teachers make up the days on Christian holidays?

Yeah, we have a half day PD, zoom video Monday the 29th. I am long past my 20 hrs already.
