Friday Happenings

Happy Friday Everyone! it's still on the warm side today and the sun is peeking out. The lawn crew is here today which totally threw me off since they are always here on a Thursday. Guess yesterdays rain interfered with their schedule.
My son came yesterday to fix the garbage disposal in the kitchen sink and luckily it was only clogged and it took him nothing to get it working. He brought my grandson along so I got hugs from both guys which totally made my day 
My daughter took today off from work and is going to spend the day and overnight celebrating her friends birthday. They are going shopping this afternoon and then meeting up with the rest of their crew for dinner. So, it's just me and the pup.
My older daughter and son in law are leaving tomorrow for their cruise. They were supposed to sail to Bermuda but with the hurricane in the Atlantic the cruise line is rerouting the cruise to Canada. I was thinking of Amber @AmbiePam who didn't get to go on her cruise to Canada last weekend. Now my daughter and son in law are going. What's the odds.
Today I'm going to finish the series I started watching on HBO called the Pitt with Noah Wyle. I love medical shows and this one caught my attention when it won an Emmy recently. Have to say it's really good and I'm glad there's a season 2 coming.
Plus I just started a book that is going to be a wild ride thriller. Its Worst Case Scenario by TJ Newman. It's about a pilot who suffers a heart attack at 35,000 feet with a plane filled with passengers and (I don't want to give away any more).
That about sums up what's going on here.

Happy Friday back at you. I bet that cruise will be wonderful. I visited Canada once (Vancouver, British Columbia) and it was beautiful.
It's always nice when a series you like comes back for another season.

I really enjoyed The Pitt and am now anxious for the 2nd season.
Someday I'd love to visit Canada From what I've seen, Vancouver is really beautiful but I'd be happy anywhere i think

Atleast your cruise is not cancelled unlike what happend to @AmbiePan. However, she has seen some positivity in that cancellation

I had heard about The Pitt, and it got a lot of good press. Your book sounds like it would make a great movie!
Hopefully, your daughter and SIL aren’t too disappointed by missing Bermuda. Yeah, I should still be on a ship until Sunday if the flight had not been canceled.

That’s great the cruise will just be rerouted instead of cancelled or postponed. However I hope they will be happy with Canada if May be quite chilly there.

That will be quite a page turner book that you've got.
Isn't it ironic that Amber, who so wanted to see the ports on that cruise wasn't able to go, and now your family, who was probably looking forward to the ports along their cruise will be detoured. Strange.
It was a foggy start to our day today, but by 10 am the sun was shining very brightly as I put the freshly laundered sheets back on our bed. I took a later coffee break than I usually do, to do that, and I wondered if you were having your coffee.
