Today is going to be kind of busy. I will go to the city today to get my haircut and also attend the focus group I have been talking about. I have to bring in the cold medicine I have on hand. I think I told them I had Robutissin, but it was actually Vick's 44. I don't get colds as a rule, but last year around Thanksgiving I had a humdinger of one. I hated it with a passion as my cough lasted for weeks. That was the first one I had had in 5 years. How often do you get colds? Do you have cold medicine around?

Knocking on wood here...I haven' had one since last fall. And like you, the cough lasted for half of forever, it seemed. I do have some cold medicine on hand, as well as cough drops, I am not sure of the brands unless I go dig through the meds.

I am unlikely to get another cold for awhile, probably years. I bet the current ones will be expired before I do. Needless to say, now they are in this bag, I am taking them off the shelves and just putting them in a storage basket.

@snowy22315 It's always good to keep a cold remedy for an unexpected cold, but it's great that you don't get colds often. I really don't, either. But when I get one, it's a whopper.

I don't have any cold medicine on hand so I guess it's really been awhile since I had a cold.

The one I had around Thanksgiving was horrible. The next time I get a sniffle I am going to be popping elderberry and zinc.

@Marilynda1225 No, I have been slacking off on my daily vitamin since I have been taking calicium. I need to restart, especially with the winter coming.

@snowy22315 Do you take Vitamin C every day? I've heard that it helps ward off colds

I haven’t had a cold in a couple of years. I don’t think I have cold medicine in my cabinet either. Right now, I’m at the doctor. Surprise, surprise!

@snowy22315 Yeah, desperation to feel better will definitely make you do that.

I wouldn't have any except for all the stuff I bought last year to try to obtain relief.

The last time I had a cold was in December 2001, when we moved to Monte Carlo to Switzerland. I did not have the habit to colder winters.

That's a really long time ago. The time before my last cold I know I caught it in a pizza joint. It was January and very busy, and everybody in there was touching the same stuff..drink,napkin dispensers and so forth. I loved the pizza but not the illness. I haven't been back there...if I go again, you can be sure it will be a day it is not busy and I will be washing my hands frequently.

I don't get colds very often. I do have cold medicine though. My mother usually get sick around Thanksgiving. Yesterday my best friend had to have surgery and I worried about her all day. Last night she said the surgery went well. I also worked on my best friend's diamond painting.

It is important to prevent them. My throat felt a little scratchy this AM so I took some elderberry which is good for immunity.

I don't get exposed to many people; so I haven't had a cold in years. Knock on wood. My cold medicine is ancient.
