I really hope that they can get a delivery. This is a service that uses volunteers across the country to deliver a pan of lasagna to those who need or could use it. I think I will sign my aunt up for it as well. In addition I think I want to sign up to volunteer. My parents have a lot of food, but my mother really can't do a lot in the way of cooking anymore, and I think they are mostly eating junk or processed stuff. This would be a nice change for them. No idea how many volunteers there are..but their area is pretty populated so I think there is a good chance there would be somebody.

@snowy22315 - It would be nice to have something like this here. I am going to suggest this idea to the Mayor.

@sallypup Rao has a nice veggie lasagna. It comes with a lot of mushrooms.

@snowy22315 I am noticing more vegetarian options in lasagna in the freezer section of the grocery store.

Yeah, I will have to remind her to check her cellphone. I don't think she has it on very much

Both are great ideas ….we don’t have anything like that here in the UK.

I wrote a discussion on Lasagna Love last fall. I didn't know about it until my son was in the accident. We received a lasagna, homemade bread, salad...it was a wonderful gift. I have made several lasagnas for them since, but I can't be counted on to be regular, then there is the expense and the delivery. But it is a wonderful program. Sometimes there are so many requests it takes a bit of time to receive your lasagna, but it's well worth the wait. Your parents will enjoy it!

@MarieCoyle That's understandable. Maybe I will try to do one over the holidays if I can swing it. my vegan friend could do a vegan one too

Yes,. it is all volunteer. I couldn't do it, I made two for them to pay it forward for the huge one we were given, but I can't manage the time and the expense right now to volunteer for much.
