Won't it be nice if we lived on a planet that is magical. You only have to see something and it is yours. It appears in front of you. When you are hungry for something you snap your fingers and the food appears in front of you already fixed and ready to eat. Whatever you want. There it is. That would be so nice. You could end wars and people going without food. There would be a place for everyone to live. What a nice world we would have.

There is a series of books, the first being titled, 'The Warlock in Spite of Himself'. It is set in a lost colony on planet where 'magic' happens all the time. Our hero has a talking horse, but it is a robot

@jstory07 @Fishmomma I have an audio copy of the first one. I do believe the second book was called King Kobold. Just had a look on Amazon and the books are available on Kindle. The series is called The Warlock of Gramarye

That type of world sounds nice at a first glance, but as everybody is different, it might not work as seamlessly as we might want it too. Somebody might snap their fingers wanting it to rain, and someone else wants it to be sunny, for example. To have every desire met magically might not do that much to improve our character, which hard work builds for us, by our going out, and working to achieve, and acquire, stuff, without just sitting back, and wanting magic, to fulfill our every wish, instead.

Nature provides everything for our needs but not to meet greed of a few. Our effort to sustain ourselves is nothing compared to what is given to us for free. However, we ignore the heaven right before us and invent reasons to kill each other.

I am hoping that is what Heaven is like. I want a house to live in with my departed hubby; and I want all of our deceased dogs to be there. I want to cook a meal for him every night since I miss being able to cook and bake.
