It's a Marvel to Me

Yesterday I was filling my pill box for the week, and I was at the island in the kitchen, when I dropped a blood pressure pill. I immediately scanned the area, and definitely wanted to find it always fearing the cats might get hold of it, and who knows if they'd eat it or what would happen if they did. I was scanning the surrounding area and then asked my wife to come in and help me find the missing pill. It was nowhere to be seen and I was like, "Where the hell could it possibly have gone?" I finally walked across the dining room over by the hutch where I keep a very bright flashlight, and there it was next to the hutch by the pantry door on the floor, several feet from where I dropped it. It's always a marvel to me that when you drop something, how far it can travel. Quite remarkable.

Popping pills already? I’m glad I don’t have to do that. I hate taking pills. Always feel like they are stuck in my throat whenever I have to take one.

I have been on blood pressure pills for a while now. Maybe 5 years? Not sure. But so far it's the only medication I have to take. The rest are just vitamins.

@lovebuglena No. 60% of people diagnosed with hypertension are diagnosed between the ages of 40 and 59.

I'm glad you found it. I always worry about cousin #2's Pomeranian.

@porwest Yes, that could be fatal to a small animal.

If it would have been just a vitamin or something, I probably would have given up the search. But because it was a blood pressure pill, I was determined.

I had some glasses that skitered clear across the room and ended up in a cat hutch.

I hate to break a glass as the pieces can be found all over the house. I don´t know how they travel.

I once took a trip to Cancun in Mexico and found a broken piece of a glass I broke in Milwaukee. Of course, that's a joke. But not really all that far from the truth. lol

@porwest I have broken a glass in the kitxhen and foud one piece in the entrance door. Besides, when glasses break, the pieces grow. There´s always more broken glass pieces than the ones in the cup.

I wasn't going to give up until I found it. If I didn't have critters in the house I might have given up, though.

Vince takes a particular pill which always seems to land on its edge then it takes off and rolls quite some distance if he's not alert. It's always the same one that does this.

lucky you found the pills, I'm still trying to find my mother's earrings which are partially missing.

I’m of the opinion that pills have legs. I’ve found a pill that I dropped under the refrigerator, all the way across the kitchen from where I dropped it. And it’s an oblong pill, so it’s not like it “rolled” that far.

I think, based on all the things I have ever dropped, all things have legs. It just never ceases to amaze me how far things can go. It boggles my mind, really.

Hubby is always dropping his meds in the bathroom & either he doesn't realize he's dropped it or just doesn't look cause when I see 1 of his meds on the floor I let him know which 1 I found. I don't drop mine cause I know I'd never find it if I did & there too expensive to be losing so I make sure I count all mine.

Mine aren't terribly expensive, luckily. I still don't want to lose one, for both reasons.
