Thanks to actions of Polk County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) who answered an emergency call from concerned residents on Thursday October 9 when a stork was trapped in a fishing line and lure at Bartow's Hack Lake in Florida.
Two animal control officers with the LCSO managed to get the stork who had its legs caught in the fishing lure by taking the stork out of the water and using scissors to cut the fishing lines so that the stork could get free.
The animal control officers took the stork to the Raptor Center in Tampa for rehabilitation.
Hopefully the stork will be fully healed soon.

@Deepizzaguy lol. Yeah. Makes me wonder, now, how that became a thing. I might have to look that up. Maybe I will even write a post about it.

That would have been a tricky task to remove fishing line from such a large bird, as it might have gotten agitated too, but it seems a good result was the outcome, which is good.

It was very tricky trying to get the fishing lines away from the stork indeed.
