Howdy from the other side of the river! I think I’m going to stay over here today and do some leaf-looking. We’re starting to get some color change…and wouldn’t you know it, they’re saying a cold front will come through this weekend and blow a lot of the leaves right off the tree as they’re changing.
Oh, well. Here’s today’s song to make you dance.
Right Back Where We Started From - Maxine Nightingale
No more disco Dolly!
And, for the record, Maxine Nightingale is NOT a one-hit wonder in the US (she’s British by birth, although she’s lived here in America for a number of years). She’s a two hit wonder, with the other hit being “Lead Me On” in 1979.
This actually peaked higher (#2) than “Lead Me On” (#5). I love this song. It’s very danceable without being “disco.”
This song will be 50 next year, so you might look for it on the birthday celebration countdowns.
Until then, enjoy it!
Right Back Where We Started From
Written by J. Vincent Edwards and Pierre Tubbs
Recorded by Maxine Nightingale
From Right Back Where We Started From, 1976
I just can’t stay away:

Enjoy your leaf looking
Funny that I didn't recognize either the artist or the song until it started to play. I DO remember this song and probably danced to it many times.
