Colton who is the dog that is owned by a Chapel Hill Fire Department was away from his home on Tuesday October 14 when Colton was chewing on a device that had a lithium-ion battery that caused a fire inside the home which caused Colton to run away from the small fire. David Sasser who is the firefighter as well as the owner of the same dog received a message an alert on his app about what happened. David returned to his home to find out that the fire did not get the rug and his dog was not injured. Lesson is to keep certain toys away from pets. Link is upi.com/9791760536248 via @upi

The owner of the dog agrees that his dog is a curious pet.

If anyone wouldn’t make me mad about starting a fire it would be a dog.

I know what you mean since dogs like to play with toys inside of a home.

And, maybe some pets should be in a confined area when the owner is gone.

Lithium batteries seem to be quite dangerous.

I'm so glad the dog wasn't injured and that the fire didn't spread.

I guess he wanted to be a hot dog.

That is good that the dog was not injured. The dog should not be given a toy with a lithium-ion battery.
