Please send some rain

Don't take the title literally but it looks to me that this little guy holding the rain gauge is hoping for a downpour.
They are forecasting rain for the next three days but at least I won’t have to water the garden. We’re supposed to be going out to the motor-home to do some work on it. We keep it on a friend’s acreage about half an hour from here.
It’s a good excuse to show you this photo from Nungarin Museum. The guy looks like he is praying for rain. I imagine they do that quite a lot in Nungarin as it’s a very marginal farming area and very dependent on whatever rain they get.

A lovely art piece that moonlights as a rain gauge—how practical and classy! Speaking of rain, we've got buckets of it here, enough to open a water park or two. I’d gladly ship some your way if only the weather gods allowed it. But as if the endless downpour wasn’t enough, we’ve got three volcanoes belching lava like they’re competing in a fire-spitting contest, and earthquakes popping in now and then to shake things up—literally. At this rate, I’m half-expecting a plague of locusts to round out the calamity bingo card. When will Mother Nature decide to cut us some slack?

@JudyEv Since these volcanoes are only showing indications that they might erupt at any time, I suppose the eruptions have not yet made the world news.
