I´m waiting for my sister.

My sister is in Santiago as my BIL will have a cactaract procedure. She will come alone, as usual, as my BIL does not want to see me. Nor, after over 10 years do I want to see him.
They either stay at my brother´s house or at my BIL´s sisters´ home. And my sister comes for a little while to say hello.
It is weird that I feel closer to people that are not blood relatives than to people of my own blood. I even feel closer to many of you, mylot friends, than to them.
Do you have problems with your blood relatives?

Exactly. Yesterday it was my brother's birthday. As I always did, I sent him a simple "Happy Birthday". He never thanked, but yesterday he thanked and asked if I am well. I am concerned.

@snowy22315 It seems that my BIL told her then that if he saw me again, he´d have heart problems. Later on, several years after we had stopped seeing each other, he had open heart surgery. Not my fault, I thought.

I don't have any blood relatives. All I have left are my daughter, grandson, granddaughter and three great grandchildren. That is it.

As you know, my father disowned me when I moved out at 21. He wouldn't come to our wedding when I invited him several months later. I haven't seen any blood relatives in over 50 years.

We all get along well. I am close to my sister’s. Our brother doesn’t come around much. We feel that his wife doesn’t care for us. He will occasionally get together with us minus her.

No more realtive to have problems with and the few I have are in Latvia. Glad your sister will be able to visit with you.
