A song with a wonderful melody and strong voices is "Cara Mia" by Jay and the Americans. I remember listening to the song along with my friends, and we always loved to shout the words of the song—Cara mia, why... And so since the words mean "my darling," we would always laugh and ask, "Cara mia, why?" never using the word darling. "Cara Mia" came out in 1964 and became a number one hit in the UK. It was a gold record for English singer David Whitfield. Then in 1965, American rock group Jay and the Americans recorded the song, and it became popular.
