Isn't Dusting Fun?

I just dusted a bunch (*cough*cough*) of birthday cards that I had on my bookshelf. Also, a lovely crystalline platform with 'Love' on it. I also have a picture of my granddaughter on this shelf from back when she was about 10 or so. She's 34 now. Will have her birthday in December. I still remember when my daughter went into labor with her first child. She had gone to a Christmas function and was setting talking to some people when she started having actual pains. I came and got her, and we got to the hospital in plenty of time. (The father had kicked her out when he found out she was pregnant. What a guy!) My granddaughter was such a cute baby. Back to my dusting.

In the summer when the property dries out more, the dust kicks up. I don't have a lot out being a minimalist but hate to dust what I do have out.

Summers will be fun for you then. Same here. But I like to display what the kids have given me.

@celticeagle I used to when I had a big house. I had spots for displays. I will still put homemade cards and such on my refrigerator. I'm a minimalist and really downsized over the years.

I need to do some dusting too. I'm thinking of packing away a few more things so I don't have so many dust collectors.

I have things packed away too. The cats climb everywhere, and I am afraid some will get broken.

Oh, it’s a hoot (choke). I get in big trouble when I forget to put a mask on when I’m dusting.

That would be the best way to go. I always forget.

Just about every two days I have to vacuum fur bunnies. I need to dust and wipe clean stuff like all the woodwork. Some day....

We have all tile and vinyl now, so it needs swept every other day or so. It has little hair bunnies all over and one corner with bunches of them.

@celticeagle Hardwood floor downstairs. Vacuum grabs the fur messes quickest for me.

Thanks for sharing the memories. My house needs to be dusted; but I will have to wait until cousin #2 has time since #3 is out of the picture.

My house needs a air blower, not just a duster. It's weird. Isn't #2 the helpful one, and she is leaving soon. And #3 is the one who never comes. Right?

@celticeagle That's right. #3 posts on Facebook every day but doesn't have time to call me.

I do have some cards as well, I not longer received any cards so all cards are kept in somewhere for me to dust up and have a look then back to storage to gather dust again.

I leave out the ones they have made themselves.

Your daughter was brave to raise that baby on her own. Granddaughters are the best. I have a couple.

On her own? Oh yeah, him. He was a real jewel.
