A fourth grade student at Louisa May Alcott Elementary School in Cleveland Ohio who goes by the name Allison was at the right place at the right time on Wednesday October 15 when she getting aboard the school bus when Allison saw a toddler walking alone on the sidewalk. When Allison saw the female toddler walking on the sidewalk by herself as she was getting on the bus, Allison told the bus driver to stop the bus so Allison could give the female toddler her sweatshirt and her snack. When the word got out of Allison's good deed, the Cleveland Police went to Allson's school to give her an award which is a First District Commander's Coin as her reward in a public ceremony. Allison insists she is not a hero. She was just doing her duty to help someone in need. The toddler was reunited with her parents the same day. Link is spectrumnews1.com/oh/columbus/ne...

These types always say they don't feel they are heroes. Humble is nice but I think they are heroes. I'm glad she received this reward. She deserves it.

@Deepizzaguy ..........I have always been rather shy and I don't seek out the limelight by any means.

In my opinion it is better to be modest instead of seeking attention.

These children are lacking in some supervision. I'm glad Allison was aware and helpful.

That is true since being a parent of a toddler is very tough.

She certainly deserves an award, However why was the toddler getting on a bus alone?

It was good that this toddler was spotted, and action taken, as she could have easily toddled onto the road, and been hit by a car there too.

That is what the police officers were concerned about the toddler getting hit by an auto.
