We had hail yesterday

It’s supposed to be spring here but we have quite wild weather yesterday including some hail which you can see in Vin’s photo. Over a 24-hour period we also had an inch of rain. There is still a lot of cloud around but it seems like the rain has gone. Vince has been a bit tired over the last few days but hopefully today we’ll get out to the motor-home and get a few things done. There is a tiny leak in a water pipe and he needs to get underneath to fix it which he finds really difficult. We’re both getting old it seems.

I read that there was a tornado north of Paris, France today. And you had hail! Yeah, we’re all getting older, aren’t we. I was thinking about that today, thankful that I can still care for myself. My neighbor across the street is 85 and still works out in her yard!

@LadyDuck Wow I hadn't heard about that either! France doesn't have the infrastructure designed to withstand tornadoes! (and neither do we of course!)

The wind here kept knocking out power out today. The last time we had hail it totaled my car.

Cars and hail don't go well together. Luckily ours in garaged so that's one good thing.

I hope you and Vince are both doing okay... I can't get up and down like I used to anymore so we have to hire people to do repairs now. It really sucks!

@JudyEv You're welcome. Me, too. Hiring someone to do things I know how to do but can't is annoying to me, too.

We're well thanks and we've now done the repairs to the vehicle. We really hate having to hire people in to do stuff that we used to do ourselves.

Time marches on. I don't know how mobile I will be in another 5 years if I should live that long. It's worrisome.

We find just about everything is getting harder and harder as the weeks go by. We need to keep moving while we can.

@JudyEv You're in a one-floor house right? So am I. And I had the front steps and the garage steps redone so that they aren't as steep.

@LindaOHio These houses are designed for the elderly. The passages are quite wide to allow for zimmer frames and the bathrooms are big enough to get a wheelchair in. There are no 'real' steps at all. Do you still have steps or is it a ramp now?

you can call a repairer to fix water pipe,it's good the hail didn't prompt big damage. In northern China,it's snowing somewhere, but here is southern China, the weather still keep warm.In winter,i really like staying in south.

We want to fix the pipe ourselves as it's only a small job but if we have more problems we'll get someone in. I'm glad the weather is nice there.

I hope the hail did not cause serious damages. I am sure that Vince can easily fix the leak as soon as he feels better.

The hail was only small and didn't last long, thanks. In the afternoon, we went out to the motor-home and everything is now fixed. Today's work went well and wasn't tiring so that's good.

Yes, they were only little. We had just over an inch of rain in the 24 hours which is a lot for us.
