Another thing I didn't throw out!

I prefer ‘proper coffee’ over instant, and generally make it using a cafetiere/ French press. Sadly we went through a bit of a phase of breaking the glass and in general it’s cheaper to look for a second hand cafetiere in a charity shop than to buy the replacement glass, so as a result I have a couple of spare plungers and handles languishing in the cupboard. But then last week someone on Freegle offered the jug part of a cafetiere, having lost the plunger. I wasn’t able to get there until yesterday, but they still had it and when I got it home and tried one of the spare plungers, it was a perfect fit.
