OMG I'm going to lose my mind--baking club

I knew it was popular but the Google Classroom now has 75 students as members. Of course not all of them will show up but if even half as many do that is too many! Today I saw 2 students in the hall who said they were going to join. Yesterday 3 random girls came into a class to ask for the Classroom code. It is great that there are so many kids interested but I just don't know how to do this. The home ec classroom was eliminated many years ago. The life skills classroom has 1 range/stove. The plan was to actually bake stuff but how can I do that with 30-40+ students with 1 oven? Even decorating contests and projects are going to be beyond challenging. I spent a couple of hours last night trying to come up with something for Monday's meeting. I couldn't find anything practical or interesting enough for Halloween. My mother suggested Dio de los Muertes. (Day of the Dead) I've always enjoyed those decorations and murals that I've seen in Cozumel. We have a rapidly-increasing Hispanic population so I think it will go over well. My mother is showing a strangely increasing interest in my life lately. She was thrilled with the memorial wreath I ordered for her brother's memorial visitation. She was very impressed with the bake sale setup and how much $$ we made. Now she is offering to not only buy some supplies for Monday's competition but even to come to school to help the students out. (she is much better at decorating than I am) I don't want her to spend her money on stuff but I'm cool with her coming by to help. I know it sounds terrible but NO MORE BAKING CLUB MEMBERS!

You could still do a baking demonstration and have the kids take turns or even just watch.

This sounds a bit of a nightmare but so nice that your mother is coming on board to help. Can you make the kids into two groups and alternate them week about?

It’s great that the club is so popular but I understand your concern on the numbers. Are you happy that your Mom's getting more involved in your life ?

Maybe you can talk to the principal or someone about what to do? Could there be a division of semesters, or is there another teacher or helper to call on to help? It's great that it's so popular, but no one can handle that many students at one time!
