After all the Kathy Griffin videos on YouTube I started getting ones of Phyllis Diller in my feed. I loved her. What a great comedian. She passed away in 2012 at age 95. She continued to make appearances up until she passed.
She would talk about her fictional husband she had named Fang like him; his mother and sister were real idiots. When they divorced supposedly the real ex and his family sued her for slander, but she was able to make it known that the character she spoke about in her act was not a real person. Can you imagine?
She says that Fang's sister, Captain Bly, would have no figure at all if it wasn't for her Adam's apple.
She said that the only thing worse than having nothing to wear is not have anything to put it on.
She was a terrible driver, so she decided at one point to take driver's lessons. The driving instructor made her so nervous she spent more on deodorant than she did on gas.
What a nut!

She can annoy us. Yes. But now I find her amusing. Is Remind about the good old days?

Now who could ever forget that lady. Sometimes watchign old game shows I see her. She had two marriages I found this online and six kids.
Phyllis Diller was married twice. Her first marriage was to Sherwood Diller in 1939, and they had six children together before divorcing in 1965. She later married Walter E. Diller in 1970, but that marriage also ended in divorce in 1977.

Really! She had quite a life. Women who have a mind of their own rarely make it long in marriages it seems to me.Her first husband and his family actually tried to sue her for defamation as if the character Fang was real.

What it is about self-defacing humor that is funny I don't know but I find it to be.
