It is cold in here this morning. I would like to turn the heat on just to get the chill off, but I want to hold off as long as possible. It's comfortable sitting next to the space heater under the electric throw with my warm bathrobe on. My bday is in a few weeks. Sis asked what I want for that and or Christmas I told her a battery operated blanket. Just in case we have a winter power outage or one of my electric ones goes belly up. Have a great day! Anything special planned today or this weekend?

Yes, I bought one last year, and even though it was a beautiful blanket I had to return it. It just did not heat.

I had to put my heat on already but it was just here and there. But, it was cold enough overnight to have it on. Seems as if I won't need it during the day but guess the days of cold weather aren't that far off.
A battery operated blanket sounds like a good idea. I think it's worse losing power during the winter than summer.

That one winter we had that terrible storm it was freezing in here and it was off for days. Plus we were snowbound a couple of days. It was awful. I always keep that in mind when I think of winter time prep.
