Weekend away.

This afternoon I booked us a short break in the Donegal Gaeltacht for next weekend. It is sure to be cold and wet but we don’t mind that. The house we’re staying in is on the shore just north of Doirí Beaga, about four hours drive from home.
We’ll go for walks along Magheraclocher beach past Bad Eddie’s boat wreck, and for more walks around Glenveagh Castle. I’ll cook most of the meals but we’ll go out one night to the Caisleain Oir in Annagaire and get to speak Irish for a change.
Apart from that we’ll sit in front of a log fire and read and play scrabble. It’s so good to be away without having to fly to get there, but we’ll be flying to England in December. Flying is such a pain.

That sounds like a very nice weekend. I'd love to see part of Ireland someday. I doubt I will and I sure enjoy reading about your adventures.

Wandering around, enjoying beautiful scenery and reading sound like fun to me.
