Sunday 26th Oct 25 : A casual chat

It has been a while since I had a casual chat or talk here. It has been a busy and strenuous time since long. Plus the festivities drain a lot of strength and money. Still, got a couple of off days to enjoy some online work plus book reading. I think we all deserve such off days every year. I won't count every week Saturday and Sunday since we are then only recharging our weekly energies and sometimes even those days keep us occupied. Pollution saw some spike due to multiple reasons. Some were avoidable especially use of higher polluting crackers. Discipline ought to come from within as law enforcement has its limitations. Anyways, gearing up for a new and hectic work week this coming week. What about you all?

You know, if you get rid of kids and wife, you won't spend as much money and will feel more rested during the week. Nothing has been happening here. We need to go grocery shopping.

@DaddyEvil If my wife and kids would happen to see your comment, I would be beaten hollow !! I also did additional grocery shopping. Now, grocery shopping is something that always keeps cropping up.

Yes, taking some time out before this month end. Got a bit of cold and congestion staying awake overnight on our return journey. Which book are you reading now?

@mytunemagic It is "Mystery of the Blue Train" by Agatha Christie and featuring the famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. Changing weather means getting cough and cold but well I hope you are tackling it well in your own way.

Pollution isn't too bad here. Wood fires have been banned in the city and that has helped cut down on smoke and smog levels.

@JudyEv That is a good way to keep pollution in check. While farm fires in India are down, we have read reports of more farm fires in Pakistan, and if wind conditions change, we could see some more pollution cropping up.
