Going to get a new neighbour , there's a new caravan

We have had this caravan about twenty years ....anc it still looks brand new as we have taken care of it ....our next door neighbours came the following year. A lovely couple called Judy and John. We found out they lived not far from us in the Midlands. Then we found out John and my Dad knew a lot of the same people. Then we found out Dad and John had gone to the same school ...at the same time. Although Dad was older they found a school photo with both of them on. What are the chances ? We have been great friends since the first day and see each other out of season too. However, Judy is on her own now and not in the best of health. She has decided to give up the caravan. Their van has now been taken off site and a new one positioned. It's mighty strange seeing a different caravan there. Hope the new people will be nice ....as yet, it's for sale.

My mother was from Canada, and we had gone up there to the 1986 exposition (I think this happened that time). Mom said she and Dad went to a restaurant, and the waitress looked at my Mom and asked, "Are you...?" (using Mom's maiden name). Turned out the waitress had gone to school with Mom--and by that time Mom had been living in the States for about 50 years!

@Traceyjayne I don't recall--they may have. Mom is gone, now, so I can't ask her.

It's like that old saying goes, "small world." Hopefully they will be pleasant.

Thats very true indeed. That's what we said when we found out ....we also laughed and said ..."we will find out that we are related next ' ,,( we weren't )

There are lots of coincidences in this world, aren't there? I hope the new neighbours will be nice.
