Are you preparing New Year's decorations?

Good evening Today was a gloomy day, but it wasn't too cold. I hear it's going to rain all day tomorrow. I'm not happy about that. Does anyone here like rain? I went to town today to buy groceries, but I saw a lot of New Year's decorations. Everything is so beautiful, it just takes a lot of money to buy everything I like. I still can't believe this year is already over. The picture is from Google. Have you seen these gnomes?

I'm Hindu. The Hindu New year begins around March. However my Christian friends are preparing for Christmas and the New Year. They live in the North of the town. We join their celebration and they join ours.

We don't decorate for holidays. I used to decorate when Pretty was little but don't bother anymore.

@Nevena83 I worked at Walmart for 14 years. They decorate so early for holidays that I got sick of decorations... We still have decorations stored in the garage but neither one of us wants to see them any time soon.

I love candles, but I hate lighting them, I mostly use them as decoration.

I haven't seen those exact ones but there are plenty of similar decorations to tempt a person.

They're cute, aren't they? If I could, I'd buy them all.

I don’t really do anything special for new years. I don’t like the rain at all it ruins my plans but it’s necessary to have.

@Nevena83 we are supposed to get about 2 inches tomorrow which could lead to flooding. I was debating on getting groceries but I think I will wait until another day.

I have seen those gnomes in the stores all year round. It's too early to decorate for the holidays.

Short and clear. Does that mean you don't like New Year's or you don't like decorations?

It's two months away from New Years. So far we have Halloween, Thanksgiving and some Christmas in the stores. I'm sure New Years will be any time. My oldest daughter loves gnomes.

You're right. Today when I looked at the decorations, it all looked like New Year's Eve was just around the corner. We celebrate Christmas on January 7th. I love elves too.
