1999 - The Sixth Sense
"I see dead people."
The Sixth Sense is a psychological thriller written and directed by the iconic M. Night Shyamalan. The movie was nominated for 6 Academy Awards. With a budget of $40 million, it brought in $672.8 million at the box office.
Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis), a child psychologist, is home in Philadelphia with his wife, Anna.(Olivia Williams), when a former patient, Vincent Gray (Donnie Wahlberg) breaks into their home. Vincent accuses Crowe of failing him, shoots Crowe and then himself.
Months later Crowe begins working with 9-year-old Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment) who claims to see dead people. In the meantime Crowe's wife has become distant and cold.
This is a decent movie with a surprise ending and very apropos for the Halloween season.

@LindaOHio I didn't think it was that old. I first saw it in Netflix 3 or 4 years ago.

When his wife grabbed the bill to pay in the restaurant, it confirmed what I already suspected.
