A few months ago, I got a letter stating that St. Luke's(local hospital) would no longer be affiliated with Humana Health Care which is my insurance. But this wouldn't affect the doctor I have. So, I didn't think much about it. Then I find out that my doctor is no longer going to be excepting Humana in 2026. I thought I better get on the horn and see what my options were. I don't really want to go to a different doctor. She has been so accommodating. But as I look deeper into my options, I think I may have to. So back and forth I went. I'd find out about a plan and then have to see if my doctor's office excepted it. The website had a whole list of ones that they work with but not of ones they also except Out of Network. Back and forth. And then there is the co-pay. I got to the point where I needed to --- STOP THE INSANITY! I went online. I got more information from just going online than I have in 2 days of back and forth with Medicare and the agent going off to check. OMG! The phone was starting to get irritated too it seems. I'd get a bad connection. GEEZ!! I guess I wasn't asking the right questions. And my dear friends on YouTube. Do you know how many channels deal with Medicare, Social Security and health care? ALOT. My hair can't turn much greyer. Know what I mean? So I am taking a break for a few days. I have until December 7th. Are any of you going through this?

Just with a dentist... The dentist Medicaid wants me to use says they have to see a new patient within 7 days of making an appointment but they're booked up for months out so won't let me make an appointment. There are four dentists in our city but they're all for children. Pretty has checked 100 miles around us for a dental clinic that has available openings but either they don't accept Medicaid or they don't have available openings, either.

I need to check my insurance soon. Been hoping they would pass to keep the tax credits but doesn't look like that's going to happen. Time is on the republicans side for that.

@celticeagle What I have this year didn't cover my doctor. But this area has financial assistance that we qualify for. So I was able to keep her.

I can understand how exhausting it is for you to figure out what to do. I always say I won't change doctors if my current one isn't covered but I really don't know if I would be able to afford all that out of pocket expenses. I hope you can figure it out without too much hassle. I just got a notice that the orthopedic doctor I was seeing for my knees is leaving and I have to start with a new one. Im too old for all of this as I'm sure you feel the same way too

Same here. I'm just afraid I am going to have to change doctors. Changing one you've grown to trust and who has gone the extra mile more than once is pretty devastating. Plus, with the agoraphobia, anxiety, etc. it's going to be very hard.

I may see if I can stay with Humana and go to a new doctor.
