Why aren't we paid on a weekly basis?:(

Newbie from Croatia, Europe here. Treat me good, please Just a little bit gloomy today that i have to wait for my paycheck between the 10th and 15th of the next month. Everything is tight right now but i have to endure it just, it would be great receiving a paycheck on a weekly basis, like in some countries. Happy Halloween, if you're celebrating it; I shall watch a super natural movie, looking forward to that

Welcome to myLot. I hope you enjoy the people you meet here and the site itself. Most of the jobs I've worked during my life paid once every two weeks. When I was young, I was paid once a week. It was an interesting transition when I switched jobs and started getting paid every two weeks. I had to learn a whole new way to budget my money. Happy Halloween!

Depends on the job. There are a lot of jobs here in the U.S. that pay on a bi-weekly basis. And, if you're on govornment assistance or social security, then it's monthly.

I don’t think I know anyone who gets paid every week. Obviously, it happens, but when I was working it was every two weeks. My dad gets paid once a month, and so does my brother-in-law. Welcome to Mylot. I hope you enjoy your time here!

Online sites mostly pay once a month. Think of all the work just to pay everyone weekly and even have the money to do it.

Whenever I was receiving paychecks I always preferred to be paid weekly. I do think it makes budgeting easier, as well as paying bills. Not every job I have had, though, has paid weekly.

I don't remember ever really getting paid once a week, it's always been two weeks for most workers. Now I get paid once a month. I hope you have a nice Halloween. Welcome to mylot, I hope you like it here!
