It'll be critical I think. I already know he pretty much failed. I knew he would. I know he has an undiagnosed eating disorder, and fourty plus years and a stroke aren't going to make it any easier. He started asking questions about how his esphogiofus works. And, why everyone's so concerned about his swollow.

He still does, but he deffently needs it replaced.

@LadyDuck Well he could, but that's a power struggle. He's also fighting against himself and his own bad habits.

@kaylachan - I suppose he still cannot eat the food he needs without the tube.

I think it went well.

He may still need it, at least until he develops stronger eating habits, but the result of the test was as I'd expected.

@kaylachan I am sure this is all rather difficult for both of you. You already know that he has problems with swallowing, and if forced to eat or if he eats things he can't swallow well, he will surely choke. It does seem as if he will get another tube put in. All you can do is wait it out and hope that if he gets a new one it all goes just fine.

@MarieCoyle You're right. Looks like they'll be replacing it. His muscles aren't strong. He was asking me how swloow actually works.
