Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween (for all those who celebrate). So far the morning has flown by. I'm just having my second cup of coffee now and hoping for a little bit of time to relax. It's VERY windy here and Amazon just put my packages on the porch. If the dog didn't bark I wouldn't have known and they might have blown away. My morning started with a phone call from my friend and it was nice to catch up but it took up some of my usual morning routine even though I had her on speaker and could do a few things while we talked. She's the one friend I have who insists on talking instead of texting even when it's something that could easily just be said over a quick text. I'm not saying that I don't talk on the phone but she has a tendency to just ramble on and on. Guess I shouldn't complain and just be grateful I have friends. Meanwhile, while we were chatting I was getting texts for orders. One for a black scarf and the other from another person who recently bought a crocheted lap blanket and wants another one. This one she wants just a wee bit longer in length so we got that squared away and I have to order the yarn (you would think I had enough in my stash) but it's a pretty black, gray and white variegated and don't have that on hand. My older daughter is coming over for dinner tonight and will help with answering the door for the trick or treaters. Looks like the weather will clear up by this evening except it will still be windy. Can you believe another month is ending? Tomorrow not only starts a new month but we also change our clocks due to Daylight Saving Time. At least we get an extra hour to sleep but now it will be dark by 5PM Just wanted to pop on and say hi but I have the feeling this is going to be a busy day for me.

Yes, you are definitely going to be busy! I’m glad your daughter is coming over. I always like reading that you are all getting together. I wish I had something to do today. I don’t particularly want to stay inside all day. At least I can walk the dog; I enjoy the fresh air where there is a little chill. My lungs appreciate it.

I went to the library today to get some books to read. When she stamped the return day for December 1 I was so surprised, I cannot believe the year is almost ending.

Happy Halloween! I hope you see lots of little spooks tonight! I've been having fun this morning setting up doctor appointments and figuring out how to set alarms for those appointments into my new phone. (I bought my last phone in 2017 so, even though this new one is also a Moto Power, that was long enough ago that the programming has changed a LOT!) I keep trying to make a dental appointment but keep getting a busy signal from the two dentist offices I've called. (A third dentist office has a "We'll return to work after the holiday." message recorded on their answering machine. I left name and number and explained what I needed. I called the National Social Security number to talk with someone and keep getting a busy signal from them, too. Their site says they're working today. Not sure what's going on there. Have a good day.

It'll be on the cool/cold side tonight, so I know George will be in doubble long sleves. We might get trick or treaters and we bought a multi-pack of candy just in case. It turned out to be gorgous outside and a nice day for a drive.
