I Want to Move!

I was listening to a person talk about their recent move to a South American country and how different life is there compared to life in America. Think about a place totally layed back. Very little crime. People aren't walking around with name brand purses, clothes, etc. No statis symbols. No advertising and brain washing. No one telling you what is cool or what you need to do to 'fit in'. People aren't yelling, they mind their own business, police are nice and personable. The temp is about 75 every day. It's family oriented, multi generational families, people are friendly and respectful. You can't get frozen foods, they don't use preservatives. Insurance is cheap. Like is slow, the speed limit is 25 MPH. You can buy a house for $30,000! You can live there and get Social Security from the U.S. Can you imagine? What am I doing still here? And, are you ready for this? No Trump!

It is very rare to find a place in South America with little crime. They have way more crime in general than we do.

@AmbiePam You are right Amber criminality is very high in South America. Our myLot friend Marguisha has already been robbed twice inside her home.

This one has cartel crime in some areas. You just don't live in those places. I'm sorry Marguisha has had this experience.

Ecuador. She has a friend who lives in a nice place and she is going to be moving there in the next year. There is crime everywhere you just have to be selective as to where you move where there is less of it.

I never have either. And it's hot. But moving does sound very nice right now.

You should come to Westonia in Western Australia. There isn't even a police station.

Other places in this world certainly sound more appealing these days. A friend and I talk a lot about places where any of us could potentially move to . . . fun to think about yet crazy we are thinking about it as almost a necessity .

This particular place is much more appealing than many. And the cost is low or housing and food. Fun to think about. Now days it is almost a necessity.

@celticeagle Wouldn't that be such a welcomed change? It's so good I almost can't imagine it being for real .

I see videos on YouTube about Americans moving to other countries, some are happy and some end up returning to the States because things didn't turn out like they thought they would.

The US might have been a nice place to live if the Rump hadn't gotten into the presidency.

Cousin #3 was going to move to Belize but everyone, including myself, was concerned about crime and a woman traveling alone through Mexico and other sketchy places. She's moving to northern Florida instead. I do know that several celebrities have moved to Europe, etc. to escape his regime.

Yes, I heard a horrible story about a couple that were vacationing there and disappeared. That was a couple of years ago. I wouldn't move to Mexico or some other places. But when other live somewhere and talk positively about it it makes me want to venture that way.
