Earlier, my wife and I were working on a little project. We wanted to clean behind and around the dryer since lint sometimes builds up and it has been a while. Lo and behold, as things often go, a simple task turned into a chore as it was discovered the vent hose had split and was not venting out anymore.
At some point, as I was working on the vent hose, she decided to make herself a bologna sandwich and asked if I wanted one.
"No, I'm good," I told her. "But thank you."
Just a short while later she was reorganizing the laundry area that had gotten a bit out of hand as things sometimes do, and as she was doing that a little hunger pang struck and I thought, "Maybe I could go for a little something."
I thought about also having a bologna sandwich, then something clicked. I had some refried beans I wanted to finish up, plus there was some Spanish rice leftover.
Bingo. There it was.
I added the refried beans to the Spanish rice and heated it up, put a dollop of sour cream on top and mixed it all together.
I have to say, that was a good little snack, and it did fill the bill.

I love each of those, but I've never combined Spanish rice with refried beans.

Clever idea with the beans and rice. I probably would have had some bologna with it lol.
