We've been away / myLot

We’ve been away for a week and without internet so I’m well behind with discussions, responses and comments. We had intended to be away a bit longer but some friends from Bavaria have made a sudden decision to come to Perth so we’ve come home to get ready to greet them. We met them through couch-surfing in 2015 when we were looking for somewhere in Bavaria where we could park our motor-home overnight. They insisted that we stay several nights and they took us to some marvellous places that we wouldn’t’ have found on our own. We’ve stayed in touch from time to time and now they’re coming to Perth. How cool is that? The photo is from Goslar in Germany which is where some of my ancestors came from.

That's a lovely photo. It's interesting to know that some of your ancestors come from Germany. It's so nice that you have stayed in touch. You can show them places around Perth. Have a good time with your friends

We're waiting to find out how long they're staying and what they'd like to do. They hired a car before we were able to tell them we could take them around.

Those houses are just so unlike anything we have here. We don't have a lot that is really 'old' here. We'll just have to show them lots of kangaroos.

I looked at the photo and I was going to say that "it looked so much like Germany", of course, it's Germany! Those houses are beautiful.

We pick them up early tomorrow. At the moment, we don't know much at all about how long they're staying or what they'd like to do. All will be revealed, no doubt.
