Happy Monday Everyone and happy (new month) November! the sun is barely poking out from behind the clouds and the forecast is for rain. Certainly looks and feels like it.
We had a decent amount of trick or treaters on Halloween and I was glad I had enough candy
Saturday evening my older daughter and son in law were on their way to dinner when they hit a deer and totaled the whole front of their car. Thankfully they weren't hurt but the car is a mess and was towed to the body shop. Yesterday they said they had aches and pains from the accident but nothing serious. I certainly said many prayers of thanks because it really could have been worse.
I always hate when we have to change the clocks and I never seem to get that extra hour of sleep we're supposed to enjoy by turning the clocks back. The poor dog was on her own time and couldn't understand why dinner wasn't at her usual time. Her tummy didn't know we turned the clocks back and she was ready to eat!!!
Nothing exciting going on here today. Just the usual house stuff and then this afternoon I can work on my crocheting for the orders that I got. That extra money will come in handy especially with the holidays right around the corner.
How was your weekend? and what are you doing for fun today?

I am SO glad they weren’t hurt when they hit the deer! People don’t understand how common that is.
If only my body cooperated and gave me that extra hour of sleep. I’m with you on it just not happening.
My weekend was just fine. I’m not really doing anything fun today (just errands), but maybe something pleasant will pop up.

Yes my daughter and her husband are VERY lucky they only have some aches and pains. After seeing pictures of the car their guardian angels were really watching over them.
You are smart not to pay attention to DST. I keep looking at the clock, seeing what the time is and saying to myself "but it's really an hour later". Really messes with your mind after awhile

@Marilynda1225 - We are lucky to have guardian angels, I believe in angels.
When we worked we were obliged to follow the official time, but now we really do not care anymore.

Happy one to you too.
I have one clock in that doesn't change automatically and seems to always cause a bit of confusion before I get it changed.

I have one in my living room that has to be manually changed along with the oven and microwave.

I hope your son and DIL really are okay... Cars can be replaced, people can't.
I'm used to taking my morning meds at 5 am and, even though I was asleep, I still woke up and took them... at 4 am.
We have two clocks that I reset manually Sunday morning. The rest change by themselves.
I made some phone calls this morning and received one return call but still didn't manage to get a dental appointment set up. This is very annoying.
We were at 45F this morning and are at 55F at 9:45 am. Our older neighbor is out mowing our yard right now. I didn't think it needed it again but I'll still pay him for it. (I was asleep until he started mowing. Hopefully, I'll go back to sleep in a little while.)

I woke up to the sound of lawn mowers this morning and I was surprised that they were mowing and it's not Thursday
(regularly scheduled day). I really thought they were finished until spring.
The sun is shining and it's going to be about 60 degrees today. Looks like a decent week before the temps drop next week. At least there's no snow in the forecast yet
My daughter and son in law are okay and waiting to see about the car and if it can be fixed. All the damage is front end and looks like an accordion.

@Marilynda1225 We have below freezing temps Saturday, Sunday and Monday overnights before the temps come back up again. No snow in our forecast yet, either.
Oops! Sorry I got that backwards. I hope the car can be fixed but, sometimes, it's better to just get a new one, anyway.

@DaddyEvil the car is a lease and it's up in the few months so I guess they'll decide what to do. I'd probably just get a new one and would be leery about driving something that had that much front end damage.

My weekend was great. Saturday I dyed my hair red. My aunt would have had a birthday on Saturdays so I gave the cats treats and used a wax melt. Sunday my best friend and I went to tattoo place to get our ears pierced. I wanted to get a second hole and she was wanting her third hole re-pierced.

WE have a seat belt law so it's required. I think most people do wear them.
Haven't heard about the car yet and if it will be covered by insurance for repairs or it they will even be able to fix it. All the damage was front end and I guess it will be a few days for them to access it and give an estimate.

Weekend was OK, went to the city which is always fun for me. I was also talking to son about his new job. He is working at the Amazon warehouse. Sort of cant believe he left coding to do hard physical labor. However, the salary and benefits are decent. He says "its a job." I told him I had heard it was easy to move up the ranks there, but not sure that is something that interests him.

My grandson worked as an Amazon delivery person for awhile and he was happy. Guess you son will figure out what he wants to do but at least Amazon is paying well enough with benefits. These days benefits are a big plus.

I'm glad your daughter and SIL weren't seriously hurt. We used to change our dogs eating time in 15 minute increments. My weekend was OK. Nothing fun today.
