I'm Eating Sushi Now

My grandson loves sushi. He started getting it a couple of years ago. I had a bite and liked it and so here lately we have been getting it for lunch sometimes. We found a place (Dharma Sushi) and they are inexpensive and tasty.
We get the Cali Sushi which has ginger and crab meat in it and isn't spicy at all. My daughter enjoys the cucumber salad and Teriyaki bowl with chicken. There is this delicious Unagi sauce that is sweet, thickened soy sauce to put on the sushi. We sometimes get a deep-fried fish shaped dessert with sweet red bean paste inside.
So tasty.
Have you made any new nutritious changes to your diet lately?

I've been adding more mushrooms to our foods . . . particularly Asian mushrooms. Tasty and nutritious. I'm so glad you found a good sushi place - I know all that you described
! A Japanese market was finally opened up in our Valley . . . most nights they will sell (try to get rid of) their take-out sushi stuff for 40% off, but you have to get there early (there's no specific set time).

That is a good one to add. It is a good food instead of meat. That is cool that this place sells the stuff they didn't sell during the day for a reduced price.

@celticeagle Apparently mushrooms have good health benefits - I just love the taste!

I like it too. I hadn't tried it until recently because it was so expensive. This place isn't so it is nice. I just hope it lasts.

Yes, I do too. Am a big fan of salmon. But the crab was good too. It also had ginger in it.

Yes, I've had to make a complete diet change to adjust to my kidney disease. I also am pre-diabetic and have high cholesterol.

That's good that you did this. I am a pre-diabetic and also have high cholesterol. But, I feel I am 74 now and will enjoy what I want to eat. I do eat some nutritional stuff but enjoy my junk as well. Life is too short.

@celticeagle That's the way I always felt until I got diagnosed with kidney disease.. I do NOT want to go on dialysis; so I will try my best to avoid it.

It's a good way to get some vegs and things I wouldn't regularly eat.

I'm not a vegetable person. So doing the sushi is a good thing. I get a few anyway.
