In English we had and enjoyed “Rock-a-bye-Baby” as @MarieCoyle reminded us. In Latvian is was “Aija Zu Zu Laca Berni” and I found the English translation online. The YouTube link is in Latvian but you can at least hear the music to this lullaby. Hush-a-bye, hush, my bear cubs, hush-a-bye, hush, With your little brown bear feet, hush, hush, hush With your little brown bear feet, hush, hush, hush. Father went to collect honey, hush-a-bye, hush, Mother, to pick berries, hush, hush, hush, Mother, to pick berries, hush, hush, hush. Father brought a honey pot, hush-a-bye, hush, Mother, a basket of berries, hush, hush, hush, Mother, a basket of berries, hush, hush, hush. It's all for baby, hush-a-bye, hush, To sleep peacefully, hush, hush, hush, To sleep peacefully, hush, hush, hush.

Rasma, that was a lovely tune. Thanks for the mention, I am glad that so many people remember their little lullabies.

@MarieCoyle I had almost forgotten and then you gave me a nudge and I remembered.

@RasmaSandra It’s pretty neat that sometimes a discussion can lead to yet another discussion. I think it happens more than we know.
