We went to a Country Music Muster last weekend. It was held near Mt Trio and to the south of Perth. We turned off Albany Highway at Broomehill and travelled on what has been nominated as ‘the Horsepower Highway’ – another example of efforts to bring tourists to a region to help local economies.
From Broomehill until we arrived at our destination, we saw old tractors here and there at strategic points. Some were decorated; some were shiny with paint while others were rusty and dilapidated. I took photos of over a dozen of them but I’ll show you collages over time. There are too many to post as individual photos.
I love the draught horse that has been fashioned from metal. He looks very typical of the type of horse that helped the early farmers clear their land.

Yes, that looks like a plow-horse used to pull plows and wagons back in the day here, too.
We didn't use horses to plow by the time I was born. Dad had bought a small tractor to use on our farm.

@JudyEv We learned to ride on Shetland Ponies that dad bought or traded for when we were growing up. Then rode full-sized horses dad bought or traded for... Some he trained to pull wagons and we went on camping trips or picnics.

@DaddyEvil I always loved horses in carts. We ended up with a pair of harness ponies and had a lot of fun with them.

I love it when people get inventive with attractions. Obscure places need all the help they can get.
