Firefighters from the Clearwater Fire and Rescue answered an emergency call on Sunday morning November 2 when a house caught fire with a male dog inside. The owners of the home were not inside the home at the time of the house fire. A male dog named Bandit was inside of the home when the firefighters were able to rescue the dog, give Bandit oxygen at the scene of the fire before Clearwater Police officers took Bandit to a local emergency hospital to be treated for injuries in the fire. The good news is that Bandit will make a full recovery. The cause of the fire might have started in the kitchen. The house sustained damage but it is not known if the residents of the home will be living in that home or will have to live in another home for the time being. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/cri...

Any house fire is scary but I can't even imagine how a pet must feel to be trapped in a house that catches fire. I'm happy to hear that poor Bandit will recover from his injuries.

An animal who is inside of a house fire is likely scared.

Fires are so scary, been through 2 of them and at night sometimes I have a hard time falling asleep, have to get up and recheck everything. So glad they were able to save the dog. Our Chief of Police saved our Toby during one of the fires and had to drag her out, she even bit his hand but he still did it. I thanked him over and over.

As long as the dog is okay, then that is all that matters (since the homeowners were gone).

That is a funny name for a dog, having a real bandit it your home, might not be so funny, though. It was good that Bandit was rescued by the firefighters.
