Off to the knee Dr. this morning.

I don't know if I will have an MRI this morning or not. I am just following orders. I'll be heading off to my appointment soon. I can walk on my crunchy knee without a crutch right now, but I get scared every time I hear more than one crunch or pop at a time. Wish me big happy joy at the Dr.

I'll have an MRI within a month. If it's just O.L.D., I will have to accept it.

@TheHorse I suppose you could do like one of my friend's mother did...over a period of years everything started to fail on her. First one knee, then another. One by one, both were replaced. A few years later, she had to get her shoulder done as she could no longer move her arm hardly at all. She got that fixed and was so happy. A few years after that, the other arm did the same thing. She told the doctor she was done, that she was 88 years old and would just make the best of it. But I will say the parts she got replaced bought her a lot of years of functioning well and walking on her own.

Hope your appointment went well! My dentist has had a lot of work done on her knee . . . she says they've come a long way with knee stuff. She had cartilage cleared on one side - debating whether or not to do the other.

I am actually hoping I need surgery. I don't want to have a problem that "can't be fixed."

Good luck, pony... Be glad Pretty isn't your daughter. When I complain about not being able to see or say my eyes ache, she offers to poke them out to make me feel better. (Several times I've told her to do it so they stop hurting so much!)

@TheHorse What if she tries that? I can't help complaining when it hurts.

Pain-gating works. Tell her I just recommend she give you a swift kick in the nuts when you start complaining.

good luck. I am in the same situation as you though I won't need MRI. The doc wants to have viscosupplementation, injecting a lubricant on the knee. I am not keen on doing that yet. Good luck

I would be OK with a lubricant...if it might work.
