Thinking About Taking a "Me" Day

I'm supposed to play cards with my friends today but I'm just not feeling it. I spent a whole week around people last week on my vacation. Plus I'm in desperate need of a mani/pedi and a haircut and I'd rather do that this morning. So I'm thinking about begging off of cards and doing "me" stuff.

Don’t blame you. It’s been a trying week, with you getting back from the cruise and getting the OVC (Ohio Valley Crud), dealing with mother-in-law (and having me stop by your table the other day ), plus the horror of the plane crash that’s really put a damper on the entire city. So take a “you” day, you deserve it.

I did end up blowing off cards and getting a mani-pedi and a haircut and spending time with Hubby and Oliver.

I am (and this may come as a shocker) an introverted person, and so, "me time" to me is THE most precious time I can afford myself. I don't like a lot of company or big crowds, and I love my personal space. Especially if I have had an occasion to be more extroverted than I prefer, I almost have to recharge with extra me time to compensate for it.
