It varies. He'll sometimes go a couple days or more and not eat them, but they seem to be his main sorce of protien. We've bought ground beef, but he hasn't asked for it. He knows its a swollowing issue and he struggles. He occassionally has what's known as silent asperations.... as indicated in the report from his last barium study. Advent health makes the reports viewable and I'm able to access them. What most people don't know, I understand enough of what's being said to know what's going on. When words are used I don't know, I know how to ask.

@MarieCoyle I dn't think he would've survived the stroke if we hadn't been a couple. I know he hates that I am on the doctor's side, but the more he realizes his own challenges, the more he knows he's not ready and I'm right.

@kaylachan I know when people suffer from a swallowing problem, sometimes textures don't seem right to them. George is truly fortunate to have you for a helpmate and an advocate. I know he would not have made it this far without you there, Kayla.

I didn't think of that. I haven't bought canned fruit in ages because I've stopped eating it. I really need to pick some up. It's over processed I know, but it's still fruit at the end of the day.

@porwest Yeah, i know. I used to love canned peaches and pinapples. I just haven't bought any in a while. Thanks for the reminder. Next grocery run I'll remember to get some and I might find the applesauce.
