I remember going to my Nans ( my Moms Mom ) and she made THE best egg and chips. I still miss it today. I still have the meal of course. But it’s not the same as Nan used to cook it. Every Sunday we had plaice and bread & butter for tea. I used to eat it whilst watching Black Beauty on the television. I can’t remember the last time I even had plaice …..

I've never had eggs and fries. But, I will only eat eggs if they're actually cooked all the way through. Anything runny and the egg gets thrown away.

@Traceyjayne Then how do I dip my fries into it?

@DaddyEvil you can’t dip your fries if the yolk is hard ….. that’s why you should have it runny ! ….its the law !

@Traceyjayne Hash browns here may or may not contain onion. Usually not, but they are often eaten with onion.

These are things I’ll have to look up to see what they are. I never really thought of eating eggs and fries together.

Egg and chips ( fries ) is quite a common meal here in the UK. we have fried eggs. I like a ‘ dippy yolk ‘ ….that is to say a runny yolk, and that is because I like to dip my chips in the yolk.

@AmbiePam plaice is a lovely fish. It has a white underside and a brown upper with red spots on. Usually it is fried.

I think I never had eggs and fries, I loved the "gnocco fritto" (it's a fried bread) that my grandmother prepared for mid-afternoon snack, it was served with ham or prosciutto di Parma.

I don't think I've ever had plaice. Egg and chips sound good.
