The Kentucky Secretary of State had to announce that his state's residents couldn't vote for NYC mayor or governor of Virgnia

You cannot even make this up. Apparently his office was inundated with calls and complaints that polls weren't open for the state's residents to vote this past Tuesday on Election Day. On social media he posted: “We’re getting calls about polls being closed. They are closed because we do not have elections today. Kentucky votes next year. You cannot vote today in Kentucky for the mayor of New York City or the Governor of Virginia. Sorry." He posted another one: "Have I mentioned my repeated call for civic education.” Well said! It is worth noting that the Secretary of State there, Michael Adams, is a Republican. Like he isn't even trying to troll residents of the red state--they are just dumb and think they can vote for the mayor of New York City. It is both hilarious and pathetic.

It seems a pretty strange system over there but I'm sure if you grew up with it, it all makes sense.

Son and I were watching the news earlier and he heard this--he said, surely they are joking...but they weren't.
