Lunch after church

We still had enough Reuben casserole for a meal. We paired it with Progresso Tomato Basil soup and red seedless grapes.
That was a warm and comforting lunch.
It is windy and only 35F degrees . Suddenly fall is upon us, and almost feels like winter.
Online they said there is a little snow in northeast Kansas. I do not know anyone who lives in the area to ask about it.
Bob and the cats are napping. I am thinking about doing some meal prep for next week. I got a casserole recipe to try. . . chicken, spinach and artichoke. It is very cheesy and sounds so good.
Perhaps I will make baked oatmeal for me for this week as well.
That is my exciting afternoon.

It has been s**wing in Canada all day; and shortly it will begin to s**w here. We will also be getting more from lake effect. Bummer.

It did not show up here. We are too far south. It seems after a soggy spring and summer we may have dry weather for fall and winter.

@GardenGerty We only received 2" which was a LOT less than they predicted. It's all melted now. YAY!

@RasmaSandra Not a very common name anymore. I do know an eleven or twelve year old named Hank. He plays baseball, so I am guessing he is named for Hank Aaron.

Oh, that sounds so good for such a cold day. The new casserole sounds interesting. I think we are having broccoli and cheese soup for dinner.

Yes, the Reuben casserole starts with cubed rye bread, then layers of your meat, Kraut and Swiss cheese. Topped with rye bread crumbs. Pour your dressing over it. Some say Thousand Island, some say Russian. I really liked how it turned out.
