We're off to Edinburgh soon to see our daughter on stage. It's an amateur production and she has a major part in it, all of which we found out by accident. So off we go, but it's rather an expense. We go for two nights, and if we go for the first performance on a Tuesday the accommodation will cost £360 for two nights. If we attend the Thursday night performance the same accommodation will cost £2300. Guess which one we're going to. Then there are the flights, eating, airport car park. The cost of the tickets for the show are £15 each but the overall cost is more like £1000. But it's worth it to see my little (28 year old) girl on stage, and to eat some good food. But Edinburgh in November in all that stern Scottish rain?

I would love to see Ireland, but I wouldn't choose November. It does sound fun but quite expensive.

That's great that you're going. Sometimes you just have to do these things. Have fun.
