Introducing the Tanzanian Tree Toad

Scientists have described three amazing species of tree toad. These are unusual because when reproducing, they skip the tadpole stage, and female toads give birth to dozens of toadlets. Live birth, or skipping the egg-laying and larva stage, is extremely rare in amphibians.

Science is always making new discoveries. Ones from nature are particularly interesting! I wonder if these toads are considered genetically superior to the egg laying toads and frogs.

@RasmaSandra Didn't think of that, good point! Although, as we know, most species are always on guard for a predator. But yes, eggs would be an easy mark.
