Conner Smith who is the father of a four year son is setting a good example of not stealing property when the candy store called Uptown Candy Shop's owner Donia Farraj accidentally left the store open on Friday evening October 24.
Conner who was in the company of his son Charlie decided to find a phone number to notify the authorities to send a security guard to lock up the store.
Before the security guard came to lock up the store, Conner told Charlie that is better to be honest and not take advantage of stealing the candy inside of the store since the candy store would go out of business if thieves broke in and stole the candy.
Conner managed to meet with Donia who thanked the father and the son for their act of kindness by having a security guard close her store.
Doria rewarded the father and son by giving them free treats for their honesty a day later.
Nice to see honest people who value small businesses instead of stealing their inventory when the store owner left the door open during the time not in operation.

Yes, it is since some people these days will steal food from a store claiming that the businesses owe them a living.

It is too bad that the rotten apples get all of the attention.

@Deepizzaguy
The rotten apples garmer too much of media attention as they provide more "sensation " !

This incident shows that even with so much doom and gloom around, there are still honest and good intentioned people around.
It is that we get to listen or know less about such happenings.

Great story! We could use more positive examples of people doing the right thing. I get so disheartened when I hear news about people who use protest movements as a chance to riot stores. Not only is stealing from others breaking the law it shows poor character. Glad that father is instilling right and wrong in his child.

I wish more parents would teach their kids like that.

That is true since many people use social media to broadcast their plans to steal food from markets since they feel justified in stealing food..
