Deputy rescues a woman who was inside of a burning home

Hernando County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) Deputy T Ferro answered an emergency call on Saturday evening November 15 in Weeki Wachee Florida when a mobile home was on fire from a concerned witness who called 911. Officer Ferro ran inside the burning mobile home where he saw a woman who could not leave the burning home due to a foot injury. A man was also inside the burning home but he could not get the woman out of the burning building on his own. With the assistance of Officer Ferro, the woman was taken out of the burning building safely. Officer Ferro was taken by an ambulance to be treated for smoke inhalation The officer is expected to make a full recovery. One of the fire victims was airlifted to a hospital where the victim is in serious condition. The other fire victim is in stable condition.
