Utility workers rescue a cat that was on top of a utility pole in Tennessee

Employees of the Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) answered an emergency call from concerned residents over the weekend when a cat was on top of a utility pole for three days in the Orange Mound Area.
One rescue group could not rescue the cat since it was dangerous for them to attempt the rescue since was stuck near uninsulated wire.
The MLGW employees turned off electrical power so that the employees used a bucket truck to rescue the cat and adopt him as part of their family with the name Volt.
The cat was taken by the employees to an animal hospital where veterinarians fed the cat and gave him water.

That reminds me of the fireman that came to rescue our pet cat many years ago when it climbed a really high tree and couldn't get down.

I have noticed that cats can climb trees but need help to come down from the trees.

That is a long time on top of the pole, and it was good that the cat did not lose its grip, and fall down, before it was finally rescued.

That is true since cats have only so much stamina being trapped up in a utility pole.
