When sickness wipes out major plans for a day!

So today, Thursday 20 Nov 2025 was meant to be a day when I had many Official meetings and work lined up.
However, my flu which started showing up on Monday evening worsened very much.
I had slight vomit last night.
Body ache, headache, severe nose block, some cough and fever made me so discomfortable that I could not sleep well last night.
So going to office or even working from home was out of question.
Yet, I have missed out on a full day where a lot of decisions and matters were involved.
Whether we like it or not, this is life. At times, things are beyond our control.
I might come here in between as and when I feel like.
So what's up at your end?

I am so sorry you are so sick. That sounds absolutely miserable. I am up early because I woke up with a migraine, but I took medicine for it, and it is almost gone now. In about an hour my family and I are headed home, back to Oklahoma. We’ve been in California all week. Today’s journey will be 8 hours, but tomorrow’s will only be six hours.

Thanks for your concern.
I hope that rest of your journey goes fine!
California would have only mild winters as of now?

Our region's winters are almost similar to that of California.
But may be here, the differences in day and night temperatures are more during winters.

I'm sorry you have the flu and hope you get over it quickly. Flu germs are one reason I still wear a mask if I'm going to be around people.
I will be wearing a mask today while visiting the new endocrinologist. It is also storming right now. I'm hoping the rain/storm stops before I actually leave home this morning. Rain makes the lines on the highway invisible to me and this is a longish drive there and back. (A little over 70 miles/112 km one way.)
I hope you have a good day and find fun things to do while you're at home.

Thanks for your wishes.
Lots of medicines have been prescribed by the doctor and slowly condition is getting better.
It can be very tough to drive in storm and rain.

Not all were expensive.
Plus I have a facility of partial reimbursement through a company sponsored OPD and Medicine plan for self.
Unfortunately, that plan does not covers other family members.

I have taken another plan which covers OPD at reasonable rates.
In India, many private health insurers add hefty premium for OPD cover.
Some provide meagre amount for OPD treatment.

It is improving.
However, it cost me two important working days and I might have to shift some of my future leave plans.

Well, Corporate job work is like that and well, recently a former top Indian IT company Head has spoken about longer work hours again and again.
May be I will bring a new post on that.
